A diary of paper and color

Descrizione
Eleonora Cumer, artist, illustrator and teacher, offers two workshops dedicated to travel notebooks and illustrations, with two different but complementary activities in the morning and afternoon.
The morning workshop is dedicated to making small handcrafted notebooks, designed as travel diaries, collections of memories, sketches, words and images. Using different papers, simple stitching, collage, illustrative materials and hands-on techniques, each participant can create a unique personal object.
In the afternoon, participants work on pieces that combine contemporary bookbinding with abstract painting. In particular, the workshop involves creating a multi-level accordion structure with exposed stitching and pages of different formats and weights, designed to incorporate painterly interventions, graphic marks and writing.
The course combines manual skill, creativity and visual storytelling, transforming the notebook into a space to explore and inhabit: a place to note thoughts, keep memories and give form to real or imagined adventures.
