The Jury of the 4th Edition of the Notte di Fiaba Illustration Contest met on April 22, 2017. Following a careful examination of all the competing works, which this year interpreted the legendary investigations of Sherlock Holmes, Livio Sossi, Fausta Orecchio, Simone Tonucci, Alessandro Sanna, Fabian Negrin and Franco Pivetti declared the winners and awarded special mentions as follows. The prizes will be awarded during the exhibition's inauguration and the presentation of the catalog and illustrated book published by the prestigious Orecchio Acerbo publishing house. The event will take place at the MAG in Riva del Garda on July 22, 2017 at 5:30 PM.

With remarkable expressive and stylistic power, Lorenzo Sangiovanni interprets Fabian Negrin's text, defining environments and characters in an evocative and poetic manner. Through an absolute mastery of technique, sophisticated and refined in its execution, he skillfully creates a perfect narrative rhythm in the composition and in the alternation of cinematic-style shots.

A delightful and gentle irony permeates Laura Zani's images. She has skillfully reinterpreted Fabian Negrin's text with wit and balance, offering a perfectly coherent, original, and playful interpretation. The dynamism of the shots and the caricatural rendering of the characters' faces create a tight narrative rhythm that captivates the reader.

Energy, movement, harmony, and chromatic flair merge into images of great communicative impact, characterized by a fluid formal elegance and amusing, original narrative solutions. Vendi Vernić masterfully tells stories through perfect compositional balance in both outdoor and indoor settings.
