Regulations and call for entries
The Notte di Fiaba International Illustration Competition, now in its twelfth edition, will, as in previous years, create a exhibition traveling with its corresponding catalog and theillustrated book by the winner, which will be published by Giunti.
The announcement of the winners will be at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2026!
The exhibition will open at the MAG Museo Alto Garda at the end of August 2026, during Notte di Fiaba, for the award ceremony of the competition and the presentation of the illustrated book.
Application deadline: March 21, 2026, 11:59 PM
This year's competition promotion features illustrations created during the Advanced Illustration Course held by Master Svjetlan Junakovic last August in Riva del Garda. The first illustration we're presenting – and which we've chosen as the official image for the call for entries – is by Chiara Galletti (chiaragalletti.com).

ll Notte di Fiaba Illustration Contest nasce nel 2014 su iniziativa di Enzo Bassetti, Presidente onorario di Notte di Fiaba, ed è ideato e progettato da Chiara Tomasi, Direttrice Artistica del Concorso, con il supporto del professor Livio Sossi, tra i più autorevoli studiosi europei di letteratura per l’infanzia e illustrazione.
